NYC Bombing Threat Closes Streets

NYC has been on edge since Saturday’s bombing on 23rd Street which injured 31 people and a second bomb was found on 27th Street. There have been several reports of suspected bomb threats throughout the city since the incident.

NYC street closed down at rush hour

All was well Wednesday morning until the police received a call of a suspicious package located in Times Square. Part of Time Square was shut down while the Bomb Squad assessed the situation. As a precaution, 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues was shut down while authorities investigated.

“I experienced 9/11.” said Matthew Sadofsky, who works nearby. “Nothing really scares me because that was the scariest day of my life.”

28-year-old Ahmad Rahami is being held on charges of planting the bombs that were found this past Saturday. Police stated that they believe that the suspect acted alone.
