Dreams Turn Into Reality For These Stamford Friends

instagram-edwardsAs we are children, we all think about what life will be like for us as we enter into adulthood. We tend to dream big when are young and nothing seems unreachable for us. As we get older, most of us come to realization that some dreams are far fetch for the common everyday american. Well that wasn’t the case for Sarah Edwards and Angelica Salem.

Dreams Do Come True In Stamford!

What were the dreams of these two Stamford residents you ask? Well Sarah Edwards had a dream that was not like most little girls in her peer group. She loved the sound of the multiple loud motors as they raced up and down the track. Now she gets to strap herself into the cockpit of a race car as her adrenaline rises with the sound of the turbo engine that’s under her hood. She gets to weave past the crowd goers at speeds up to 300 mph. This has been a love of hers since she was 12 years old.

Angelica Salem has talent that can not be taught but that is given to her at birth. Salem reached her dreams when she took on the court at Chicago’s United Center before a Bulls game and belted out the national anthem for all to hear. Having 23,500 basketball fans silent in “aww” of the sounds that they were hearing made her heart tremble. Salem took on the passion of singing at the young age of 5 years old.

Stamford Blessings Are Better When Have Someone to Share it with!

For these two Stamford long-term childhood friends, the realization that their dreams are coming true are even better than most because they get to experience it together. “I knew about her crazy dream from the beginning, and she knew about mine,” said Salem, 23. “So we’ve been patting each other on the back the whole time.”
