Nothing says weddings like the church bells sounding in the meadows, the common tunes of “here comes the bride”, the sounds of rice pounding the pavement and of course the squealing tires of the newlyweds in their fancy get away limousine. The traditional wedding is all too familiar to Americans these days. That is why these two newlywed cyclist decided to change it up a bit.
A Different Breed of Newlyweds
These Brooklyn newlywed cyclists decided to abandon the traditional wedding limousine for a bike ride instead. This past Friday, Charlie Davidson and Ylinka Barotto, started their new journey as husband and wife by riding off into the sunset on bicycles. There was more meaning behind these two choosing to leave the limousine parked and jumping on a bicycle. Davidson says that a bicycle was the first gift that he gave her 4 years ago as a Christmas present.
“We’re compatible because we have shared interests and we challenge each other,” Davidson said of Barotto.
