Connecticut gas prices lower but New Canaan is still tipping over $4 mark

While Hurricane Sandy, the nor’easter and Thanksgiving is now behind us, the people’s stigmas of record high gasoline prices aren’t. Believe it or not but this Thanksgiving Day marked the highest daily average for the holiday season ever, towering over the 2011 records by approximately 10¢ per gallon. Passengers of car, limousine or airport services don’t get the brunt of paying for gas, however they do feel it when it is time for them to be the drivers.

The gas numbers affect Connecticut travelers

The normal retail gasoline prices in Connecticut have dropped 2¢ per gallon, averaging to about $3.78 per gallon. However, this drop compares heavily to the national average that has not moved in the last week or so, remaining at $3.43 per gallon. During this past week the changes in gas prices were significant and compared to last year on the exact same day it was 19.7¢ higher. The national average has lessened by 14.1¢ per gallon throughout the last month and lingers at 11¢ per gallon higher. Car and limousine services are taking a hit but don’t overcharge on travel, they want to help travelers get to and from the airport or any location safely and of course help them save their dollars.

New Canaan gas prices don’t lower

New Canaan’s gas price scoped between $4.09 and $4.19 since Sunday and was $4.09 at the town’s two Merritt Parkway gas station. The national standard will have some changes by Christmas, but the belief of decreases or increases in the averages may vary. Travelers for drop-offs, pick-ups, meetings or conferences should continue to take car and limousine services in Connecticut instead of renting a car during this holiday times. There are quite a few factors putting pressure on oil and gas and changes in prices are probably going to happen but not by too much. If traveling is necessary than invest in reliable transportation services to get you around.
