Downtown New Haven transportation services gets a new look
The Downtown Crossing Project was meant to restore the city’s street grid, making it less hectic and bumpy and remove the highway part that concedes more than it should into the city. It is also meant to connect the streets of Temple, Congress, Orange and South Orange to help revive those areas, bringing more business growth to new and old New Haven business owners. Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro explains when fixed New Haven’s transportation services and connecting streets will deliver a considerable boost to the local economy and will start an important move for the city’s hopeful residents and travelers.
New Haven was granted $2.2 million for transportation services to rebuild
Connecticut limousine and airport services as well as school and bus transportation services will have a smoother ride for its travelers and commuters. Mayor John DeStefano couldn’t be more happy, stating that the Downtown Crossing Project will indeed be one of the grandest developments in New Haven’s history and is set to employ more jobs and making the community thrive now and in the future. The Connecticut Department of Transportation for the Downtown Crossing Project was granted $2.2 million and is set to begin February 2013.
